Great tales at altitude. Really enjoyable read as always and, like Nigel, my jealousy is massive. Look forward to the next post.

Hi Nigel,

I went with Jagged Globe having heard positive comments about them from people I've climbed with abroad. Coming at the trip with Mt Blanc as the goal and having never been to the Alps, I wanted time to get used to the terrain and the altitude with quality guides, before the main ascent. Checking the JG offering they do a variety of courses, and with prior winter experience I picked the lower intermediate option of Saas 4000ers. Flights were with EasyJet and into Geneva, simple getting to the area in Switzerland, pain to get back from Chamonix (40 euro mini bus for short journey, doh!).

Lots more writing to do, Lagginhorn next!

I'm gettin real jealous!! Sounds and looks like you had a great trip and we have more to write-ups to come!!!
Interested to hear how you organised the trip - was it through a specialist company (e.g. Icicle) or was it more of a d.i.y. trip, just booking local guides??
