Really brings back some memories for me of the TMB this summer and makes me quiver with excitement at the prospect of the Classic Haute Route next year. Superb effort and very nice blog.

Wow, great write up Ian.

I'll almost certainly be in touch in the run up to my ascent (June '10, it looks like). I'm throwing myself in at the deep end with MB, having little mountain experience. Still, I've got 8 months to prepare, and prepare I will. For far too long I've needed a little adventure in my life.

Cheers

Cheers both!

You're in for a great time Nigel. As before just shout if I can help at all with your prep.

I scrambled the Crib Lem Spur in Snowdonia yesterday, which will be the next post... it's going to take quite a different format, stay tuned ;)

The next big thing booked in is Aconcagua, leaving Jan 6th 2011, so next year will build to that. Trying to buy a house at the moment so need to see what's left after that before working out 2010, I'd love to go back to the Alps and have some interesting offers for further afield if I can afford an expedition. We'll see.

Hi Ian, a write-up definitely worth waiting for! I can guess its hard to put into words but you've done a great job capturing it. Belated congratulations by the way !! I am, of course a little jealous(!), but it makes me more determined to have a crack at MB myself in 2010. What's next for you then?? Nigel
