Aconcagua
At 6962m, Aconcagua is the highest peak in South America, one of the Seven Summits and also the highest mountain outside of Asia. It’s considered the highest trekking peak in the world, with the normal route being non-technical and possible for the really fit walker with experience of high altitude and a willingness to put up with at times horrible conditions on the mountain
When?
I’ll be tackling Aconcagua in January 2011 as part of a Jagged Globe expedition. The ascent represents a big step up for me, and is one of the big factors for setting up this site, so my progress and build up to the expedition is recorded.
